As my term as Chair of the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association comes to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on this incredible journey. It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve this outstanding community of professionals, and I am deeply grateful for the support and collaboration we’ve shared over the past year.
Throughout my time in this role, I’ve been reminded daily of the strength, dedication and passion that defines our industry. From navigating new challenges in the market to championing policies that protect homeownership and property rights, together we have continued to raise the bar for excellence in real estate. Our industry’s resilience is truly remarkable, and I am proud to have worked alongside such a talented and committed group of REALTORS®.
I want to express my sincere appreciation to the WRA board of directors, the exceptional staff, and all of you — our members — who have made this year one of great progress and impact. Your hard work and tireless commitment to our profession have not gone unnoticed. We have faced many changes, but I know that this association and its members will continue to thrive and lead the way for the future of real estate in Wisconsin.
This journey would not have been possible without the unwavering support of my company, Edina Realty, and my exceptional team of agents. You allowed me the space and freedom to lead on this larger platform while managing our own endeavors back home. Your dedication to the real estate profession, to each other and to our clients makes me so proud to be part of this family. I cannot thank you enough for encouraging me to step into this role and for holding everything together during my absence.
Most importantly, I want to thank my family for their boundless love and patience throughout this journey. My family has been my bedrock, and I am forever grateful for their sacrifices, understanding and unwavering belief in me. It is with your strength and support that I was able to take on this responsibility and give it my very best.
As I pass the torch to the next leader, Chris DeVincentis, I do so with great confidence that the WRA will continue to move forward with purpose, passion and an unwavering commitment to serving our clients and communities under Chris’ leadership. I am excited to remain an active part of our industry and to support the continued success of this association in the years ahead. My gratitude would not be complete without giving thanks to my executive team consisting of Joe Horning, Amy Curler, Steve Lillestrand, Shawna Alt and Chris DeVincentis. I have gained lifelong friendships along with immense knowledge serving with this great group of professionals.
Thank you for trusting me with the opportunity to lead. It has been an unforgettable experience, and I look forward to what lies ahead for all of us.
With gratitude and warmest regards,
Mary Jo Bowe
