In the past several years, REALTORS®, particularly those in a luxury home market, have had to "up" their marketing efforts in an attempt to keep up with the competition. Recent statistics show that just about 100 percent of home buyers start their search online, and the techniques used to market your listings online need to reflect this.

Drone real estate photography has become increasingly popular in the past couple of years, especially in areas of the country known for their higher-end housing market. Traditional still photography definitely still has its place in real estate marketing, but in order to make their listings stand out from the rest, many REALTORS® have started to incorporate the use of drones to create stunning and distinctive videos and photos that offer more "wow" factor.

Despite the fact that many professional photographers are now offering drone shoots as part of their photo packages, some brokerages and REALTORS® are opting to purchase their own drone - requiring a fairly substantial investment up front, but likely working out to save them big bucks in the long run. Advances in technology have made many of the available drones on the market today easy to use even for amateurs, and relatively inexpensive ranging in price from about $500 to $3,500 — especially when compared to what was available a few years back.

Here are three excellent drone options for REALTORS® along with some key features.
