The National Association of REALTORS®’ (NAR) interactive fair housing training platform, Fairhaven, uses immersive storytelling to teach REALTORS® about fair housing principles and to promote equity in the housing market. The online experience allows you to navigate transactions in a fictional town named Fairhaven.

And the new Fairhaven 2.0 is available now! Using the power of storytelling in the new Fairhaven 2.0 updated platform, you can learn about the historical context as well as identify, prevent and address discriminatory practices in real estate.

The new Fairhaven 2.0 offers an immersive and interactive way to take a fresh look at fair housing training. This free online simulation allows you to work through scenarios and make decisions as situations present potentially discriminatory conduct that may arise in real-life practice. Using the Fairhaven 2.0 simulation enhances problem-solving skills and fair housing knowledge.

Opposed to traditional fair housing coursework, Fairhaven 2.0 provides a different and better appreciation of fair housing issues and the impact of discrimination. The simulations are engaging and force you to think. Your trip through Fairhaven will be rewarding and well worth the excursion.

The WRA is committed to enhancing the fair housing knowledge of WRA members as well as boosting their ability to promote fairness and stand against real estate discrimination in all forms. Accordingly, the WRA recommends that all members engage in this interactive training and is proud of those who have accomplished this mission!

Visit Fairhaven at fairhaven.realtor to start your Fairhaven journey. Once you log in and begin, the total program generally takes 60-100 minutes to complete. You also have the ability to pause, save your progress and log on again later when you have the time.

Completion of Fairhaven 2.0 will also qualify for NAR’s new fair housing training requirements starting in 2025.
