Land-Use Web Resources Revamped
Land-use has become an umbrella term referring to lots of issues, from septic systems to private property rights to brownfields. The amount of information of this nature being disseminated by the media, state agencies and special interest groups has swelled over the last several years. New land-use issues impacting the real estate industry materialize on a daily basis in various locales around the state, making it extremely difficult to stay informed. The WRA staff dealing with land-use issues have found that our members are eager for details about what's happening around the state, what the impact is on the real estate industry, an how they can get involved.

With this in mind, the WRA staff determined that the WRA Web site would be a viable tool for keeping our members abreast of current issues. The land-use area of the Web site www.wra.org has been revamped to provide more information that is more timely. This information is housed under the Public Affairs tab, but it can easily be accessed from the
WRA home page by locating and clicking on the "land-use forum" icon (right) in the left-hand column.
When you arrive at the home page of the land-use section, you will see teasers for recent articles covering a gamut of land-use issues. Tom Larson and our Governmental Affairs Directors from around the state will be updating content with timely information they deem to be relevant to members. The blue column to the left, which appears like the column to the left of this article, is the meat and potatoes of this section. Navigate to the topic you have an interest in by clicking on the text link.
