REALTOR
Memberships
The Wisconsin REALTORSŪ Association is part of a
REALTORŪ organization made up of local, state and
national associations/boards of REALTORSŪ. In order to
become a REALTORŪ member, you are required to join the
entire organization. This means that you must be a member
at the local, state and national level. To become a
REALTORŪ member, you must first join a local
Board of REALTORSŪ.
Each local Board covers certain jurisdictional boundaries.
However, not all areas of the state are covered by a local
Board jurisdiction. You are required to be a member of a
local board unless your office is located in "at
large" territory. Under Wisconsin's Board of Choice
system, a sales agent may choose as their primary Board
any Board
in the state where the company has a Designated
REALTOR as a member. Membership dues and services vary at
the local level so you might want to shop around before
you join a local Board.
Affiliate Memberships
If you are not a real estate
professional, but are in a related industry, you can join
the Wisconsin REALTORSŪ Association as an Affiliate
member. In order to become an affiliate member, you must
join a
local Board of REALTORSŪ and the Wisconsin REALTORSŪ
Association. You are not required to join the National
Association of REALTORSŪ under this membership type.
