A
membership benefit of the Wisconsin REALTORS®
Association is the GRI scholarship. The Wisconsin REALTORS®
Foundation Board of Directors of the Association will award the
scholarships to Association members during 2009-10.
Mail completed applications to: Wisconsin REALTORS® Foundation, 4801 Forest Run
Road, Suite 201, Madison, WI 53704 no later than January 15, 2010.
GRI Scholarships Available In 2009-10
Al Petrie GRI Scholarship – Al Petrie Served as a member of
the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association from 1962-1990. This
scholarship is in recognition of his many contributions to
organized real estate. Applicants must be a licensee and a
member of one of the following Boards/Associations: REALTORS®
Association of Northeast Wisconsin, Door County Board of
REALTORS®, or the Marinette Board of REALTORS®. (One
scholarship will be awarded in 2010.)
Darwin D. Scoon GRI
Scholarship – Darwin D. Scoon
served as the Executive Vice President of the Wisconsin REALTORS®
Association from 1960-1978. This scholarship is in recognition
of his many contributions to organized real estate in Wisconsin.
Applicants must be members of the Wisconsin REALTORS®
Association. (Two scholarships will be awarded in
2010.)
Otto Bytof Coldwell Banker
The Real Estate Group GRI Scholarship – This scholarship was established in 1997.
Applicants must be an independent contractor of Coldwell
Banker The Real Estate Group. (One scholarship will be awarded in 2010.)
Otto Bytof REALTORS®
Association of Northeast Wisconsin
– This scholarship was also established in 1997. Applicants must
be a member of the REALTORS® Association of Northeast Wisconsin. (One scholarship will be awarded in
2010.)
Ozaukee REALTORS® Shirley
Hansen GRI Scholarship – This
scholarship was established in 1996 in memory of Shirley Hansen.
Applicants must be a licensee and a member of the Ozaukee
REALTORS® Association or Coldwell Banker Premier Office.
(One scholarship will be awarded in 2010.)
Kettle Moraine REALTORS® Association GRI
Scholarship – This scholarship was
established by the Association in 1992. Applicants must be a licensee
and a member of the Kettle Moraine REALTORS® Association. (One
scholarship will be awarded in 2010.)
Waupaca-Shawano GRI
Scholarship – This scholarship was
established by the Board in 1996. Applicants must be a member
affiliated with an office or with a place of business in Waupaca
or Shawano counties or the New London community and must also be a
member of a local Board of REALTORS®. (One scholarship
will be awarded in 2010.)
Western Wisconsin Sue Alt
Scholarship – This scholarship was
established by the Board in 1993. Applicants must be a member of
the Western Wisconsin Association of REALTORS®.(One
scholarship will be awarded in 2010.
Scholarship can be used to attend any WRA sponsored designation
course. Covers registration fees only, up to $500.)
Donald Hovde Scholarship – This scholarship was established in 2001 in
memory of Donald Hovde. This scholarship is in recognition of
his many contributions to organized real estate in Wisconsin.
Applicants must be a member of the Wisconsin REALTORS®
Association.(Two scholarships will be awarded in
2010.)
Arline Beyer Scholarship – This scholarship was established
in 2003 in memory of Arline Beyer. This scholarship is in
recognition of her many contributions to organized real estate
in Wisconsin. Applicants must be a licensee and a member of the
Ozaukee REALTORS® Association. (One scholarship will be
awarded in 2010.)
Wisconsin CRS Chapter GRI Scholarship – Applicants
must be members of the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association. (One
scholarship in the amount of $250 will be awarded in 2010.)
Selection Process
Applicant
must submit all application materials no later than January 15, 2010.
Scholarship
winners will be selected by the Wisconsin REALTORS® Foundation
Board of Directors. The candidates will be reviewed by the Wisconsin
REALTORS® Foundation Board of Directors, which will then choose the
winners. Winning applicants will be decided on January 15, 2010, and be
notified by phone.
Exclusions
The GRI Scholarship awards are exclusively limited to any current member of the Wisconsin REALTORS®
Association. No applicant shall receive more than one type of GRI Scholarship.
