Wisconsin Real Estate Sales and Broker License
Renewal Education Requirements
(Continuing Ed)
The
Wisconsin DRL requires all real
estate licensees (sales or broker) to complete 18 hours of continuing education
during each two-year licensing period (biennium) in order to renew
your license. This is accomplished by completing four three-hour mandatory courses and two three-hour elective courses
included in the current biennium's curriculum and passing the
exams for each class. The WRA offers real estate
residential
and commercial
continuing education classes on a regular basis and these classes are approved and satisfy
the DRL continuing education requirement.
Another option for accomplishing this requirement is passing a
Test-Out
exam. Or, if you successfully complete a CCIM, SIOR, or CPM designation course, you would receive 9 CE credits, fulfilling Courses 1, 2 and 4. To complete the CE requirements, you would need to complete Course 3 and two of the elective courses.
A licensee who obtains a Wisconsin Broker license during the
current biennium is exempt from the 18 hours of CE requirements
to renew their license.
