General Questions

Q. What is the CRB professional designation?

A. CRB: Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager, a designation awarded by the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers. The CRB designation is recognized industry-wide as the symbol of excellence in brokerage management. The most successful brokerages are owned or managed by professionals having the prestigious CRB designation. The CRB designation signifies a leader in the industry and the highest level of professional achievement and recognition in the specialized field of brokerage management.

Education Questions

Q. What are the requirements for earning my CRB?

A. Requirements to receive the CRBŪ designation:

  • Submit Candidate Application accompanied by required documentation (if applicable), non-refundable application fee, and required dues to the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers at www.crb.com
  • Obtain or hold active membership in the National Association of REALTORSŪ as a REALTORŪ or REALTORŪ-ASSOCIATE.  NOTE:  A Broker's License is NOT required.
  • Have at least two consecutive years of management experience prior to designation (may be obtained while a Candidate) and submit a management resume outlining this experience.
  • Earn twelve (12) credits within four years of application.

Q. Do I have to take additional courses to maintain my CRB?

A. While the WRA offers an annual CRB Course, you are not required to complete additional coursework to maintain your designation. Once the CRB is earned, you simply must maintain your REALTORŪ membership to continue using it.

Other Questions Regarding CRB

Q. I earned my CRB in one state, but am now preparing to be licensed in another. Is my CRB still valid?

A. Yes, once you have earned the CRB, all other states will recognize it.

Q. I noticed that my CRB designation does not appear in NRDS. How do I get this to appear?

A. The WRA is your point of entry for CRB data for NRDS. Please email us at educate@wra.org and we will submit the information to NRDS.

Q. I have earned the CRB designation, but am planning to disaffiliate from the REALTORSŪ organization. May I still use the designation on my business card and marketing materials?

A. No. In order to use the CRB designation mark, you must be a member in good standing with the National Association of REALTORSŪ.
